Slow worm admitted 21st September

This beautiful slow worm came into us on Thursday after being caught up in netting. He was taken to the vets, who removed the netting and has come to us to rest and recuperate. As you can see from the photos his tail was damaged, but being a member of the lizard family his tail will regrow This is known as autotomize, which means that he has the ability to shed his their tail to escape predators. While the tail regrows, it does not reach its original length. He is doing really well so far.
